# RegusciLabs sandbox — Try before sending

This sandbox uses example data to validate inquiries and subscriptions without sending messages or storing contacts.

## Public access

No account or API key is required. Tools read public content. Transmitting a person's details requires their approval; newsletter signup also requires specific Pulse consent.

## API v1

Reading and search also accept GET query parameters. POST JSON to /api/v1/agent/read_information, /api/v1/agent/search_information, /api/v1/agent/submit_inquiry or /api/v1/agent/subscribe_pulse. Requests are limited to 16 KiB. Existing /api/agent routes remain available.

## Search and pagination

search_information takes query, locale (es or en), and limit (1–10). When a response includes nextCursor, pass it as cursor with the same query and locale to fetch the next page. null means there are no more results.

## Validation and live submissions

Writes default to dryRun:true. /api/sandbox/submit_inquiry and /api/sandbox/subscribe_pulse enforce validation on the server. For a live v1 submission, obtain approval and use dryRun:false with confirmed:true. Subscription additionally requires consent:true. Previews only permit validation.

## Two MCP servers

The actions MCP at /api/mcp provides reading, search, inquiries and subscriptions. The documentation MCP at /api/mcp/docs provides reading and search only. Both use Streamable HTTP without an account or persistent session. /.well-known/mcp also accepts connections to the actions server.

## Errors and retries

REST errors include ok:false, error, code, message and resolution. Check issues for field errors. submission_status_unknown may mean partial effects: do not automatically retry; contact info@reguscilabs.com. Use idempotencyKey in the input or Idempotency-Key in REST: one key per approved action. For seven days, the same key and input retrieve the outcome without sending again. Changed input returns 409. Legacy calls without a key must not be retried automatically.

## Usage limits

The API and MCP servers share 120 requests per minute per IP. New live actions are limited to 5 per hour per IP and recipient. RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining and RateLimit-Reset report the limit, remaining requests and seconds until reset. A 429 includes Retry-After; MCP tool errors use retryAfterSeconds. Saved result replays do not consume the live action quota.

## Versioning

The major version appears in /api/v1 and the API-Version response header. Additive fields are compatible; breaking changes require a new major route. No retirement is scheduled. Any future retirement will be announced here and through Deprecation and Sunset headers at least 90 days before a route is removed. See /developers/versioning.md.

The SDK and CLI validate writes by default. Live actions require approval and a saved idempotency key; subscriptions also require consent. They never retry automatically.
